Cousin Robert and Heather are married!
This was a memorable wedding. Cousin Robert and his new wife Heather, decided to go with a wedding that you would soon not forget. The theme was Alice in Wonderland and I was quite impressed with the details. They had tea pots of many colors and styles on the tables. Some were made of chocolate. Instead of the traditional wedding cake, they had a chocolate fountain. No complaints here. The ceremony was performed by the rabbit, which at one point, was being chased around by 3 little Alice's. Heather was adorned with Butterflies on her hat and boquet and a black wedding gown with colorful accents. They decided to add a little color to the day by having bright red hair. Thanks for a fun day!!

Taking time for Girlfriends and Mountain air!
This weekend, I got to enjoy the company with 5 of my Girlfriends. Once a year we take a weekend (in November) and head up to the mountains. These Girlfriends are so special to me. Where can you find 6 women who can share a cabin for 3 days and leave wanting to go again next year. I am so lucky to have them part of my life. This was the 9th year (my 8th).
Three of us tend to get cabin fever, so we try to do some outdoor activities. Depending if we have a blanket of white or not, will determine the activity. In the past, we have gone skiing, snow-shoeing, hiking in the snow, or just hiking without snow (which is what we did this weekend). The weather was perfect. Cold enough to wear gloves, scarfs and hats, but warm enough that once you started moving, you got hot. We hiked for a few miles and I, with camera in hand, challenged myself to scenic photography. I love to try and capture nature the way I saw it and want you experience it (without actually being there). This morning I was walking down my driveway, and I could see the mountains that I had just returned from yesterday. They are beautiful, powerful, unpredictable and majestic. Thank you WSW girls for a wonderful weekend. Enjoy the images that I captured for you and me.

Baby Bryce is here!!
Justin in finally a Big Brother (Mom is really happy about the finally part). Baby Bryce arrived just 3 1/2 weeks ago and definitely reminds me a little of when his Big Brother was that size too. It's such a joy to watch how much Justin cares for his little Brother. He couldn't get enough of kissing his brother on the head. For now, Baby Bryce doesn't mind. This 2 year old has a sweet, lovable side, along with a lot of energy to keep Mom busy. To make thing easy for Jason and Melissa, we did these portraits right in their home!!! That way, Justin could come into the portrait when we needed him (or when he wanted to) and then get right back into his Mega blocks!! Congratulations to Melissa, Jason and Justin!!!!!

Sneak preview- Lena
Lena is 1. You talk about a contagious smile. She is so curious about her environment. Just the way a 1 year old should be. Her Mommy and Daddy, Susan and Toni, are a past wedding couple. They were married in the UPS chapel in 2003. What a gorgeous church. Sorry, I won't be able to show you portraits of that. I wasn't digital back then, so the images that I do have on file are filed away. Take my word for it. The church is one of the most beautiful that I have photographed in. Now Lena's Daddy really doesn't like to be in front of the camera, so we tried to show the strong relationship they have (IE- Daddy's girl with them playing together). That is why I love the portrait of Lena up in the air. That smile is from her Daddy. I hope that you smile too while checking these out!!

Kelli and Casey's Engagement Session!
Kelli and Casey have asked me to photograph their wedding, which will be on Feb. 21, 2009. We found a great new location (well, really they found it). It is a park in Chambers Creek that they like to hang out at. I had never been there before, but I am always ready to photograph at new locations. This park just happens to be where Casey proposed to Kelli, so it has special meaning to them. The actual proposal spot in on the concrete deck, with the sunset portraits. We also included Gavin in their portraits as he is a very important part of their Family. He is full of energy and keeps me in shape while trying to keep up with him. So cute!! Be ready, there's lots of kissing going on!!!
